Capricore is an alternative rock band that pulls influence from their kiwiana surroundings whilst also completely reconstructing and opposing it. They are a breath of fresh air in the Auckland industry. Sick to death of mediocrity, Capricore sought out extremes in their sound and performance. Theatrical while remaining authentic – they take the piss out of themselves (and their country) yet they’re also dead serious – they’re both infectiously commercial and brazenly experimental.
